NETWORK OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT
Monitor, manage and automate your networks. In a single solution.
Network Operations Management (NOM) is a solution for discovering, monitoring, managing, automating, and ensuring compliance for physical, virtual, wireless, and software-defined networks. NOM is the tight integration of two well-known products – NNMi (Network Node Manager) and NA (Network Automation).
PRODUKTBESKRIVELSE
NNMi focused on topology, faults and performance, while NA handled configuration, security and software updates of network equipment. Now they are integrated into one common product, covering all aspects of network operations.
Both NNMi and NA have been rewritten several times, as networks changed from basic ethernet LANs and relatively low-speed WANs, to today's high-speed and highly flexible networks, with wireless, SDN, MPLS, and other technology that was unknown in the early 90s.
Some important features of NOM
- Industry-leading support for physical, virtual, wireless, and SDN-enabled devices
- Simple toolset provides performance management and configuration
- Network-focused orchestration content accelerates service delivery
- Policy-based auditing and updating of software on network equipment
- Capacity and configuration modeling tools enable efficient planning
Key capabilities
Express, Premium or Ultimate
NOM is available in three versions, with growing functionality for different customer needs. All include topology, status, performance and configuration, but to different extents.
Can be run on public cloud
NOM can be installed both in the traditional way on Linux or Windows servers, on a private cloud based on the OPTIC platform, or in public cloud services such as AWS or Azure .
Visualization of the network
NOM keeps track of the network topology and status, even when this changes dynamically. If a fault is detected in one part of the network, the “neighbors” are checked to determine if the problem/change affects multiple devices.
Modern user experience
NOM is 100% HTML 5 based, and requires neither Java nor other add-ons to the functionality of a regular browser . NOM can therefore be run just as easily from a tablet as from a PC.
Control with configuration
NOM monitors configuration and software on network devices so you have full control over all changes made.
Advanced dashboards
Advanced dashboards, both predefined and those that the customer customizes themselves, visualize status, performance and changes over time, allowing individuals to relate cause to symptoms.
